Do What You Love…

Do What You Love…

In your daily life the normal M-F hustle do you do what you love? For a living or even a hobby?

What do you love doing?

I am sure there are a handful of things you love and have loved at various stages of your life.

Take me for example….

As a kid I loved to draw pictures (mostly of He-Man GI Joes, and sports figured) but regardless I loved creating art.

In elementary school I loved sports videos games Nintendo, Sega, Super Nintendo I loved it all.

In high school & College my life was basketball, with some beer drinking and girls mixed in – but mostly basketball.

I’ve always been an athlete and loved the work involved with training be it for sport or fitness it was all connected.

What was I NEVER passionate about?

School Work – things like algebra to me are worthless (whens the last time you used x + y = z in real life)

I also never really cared for things like geography, accounting, even American history (what they teach in school that is)

I am also not passionate about folding laundry, data entry, gardening, being politically correct, politics, the list is long but you get the idea.

My point?

I don’t focus my time on stuff I don’t like or that I am not naturally good at.

I play to my strengths and my passions.

The truly successful people in this life, be it financial success, career success, and overall life happiness they do what they love daily and play to their strengths 24/7/365.

For me this was a simple marriage.

I get to mix my existing strengths of being an athlete and love of fitness together to make this business.

Now do I love every aspect of being a business owner?

Not even close.

I am constantly putting out fires, dealing with technical and human issues I hate but that’s on the micro level.

On the macro level I love this business, it’s like my kid.

And the things I hate I either delegate or became better at dealing with myself.

I didn’t know a career or a life like this could even exist for me 10 years ago.

But it can exist for me and it does, and I know there is something you can find that you love out there to.

So that’s why I tell you to play to your strengths and do what you love daily.

Because life is too short to wake up and do some sh*t you hate just for a few $$$$ in the bank.

Working for the weekend is the fastest way to hate most of your life and find yourself 20 years from now filled with regret and “I WISH I WOULD” moments.

Don’t do that!

I want you to be happy, I want you to succeed…you just have to audit yourself and ask the questions:

What do I love?

What am I passionate about?

What am I willing to do to make that happen daily?

Food for thought….

Until next time eat well, train hard & be nice to people!
