Eazy Ezekiel – Your Best Bread Choice – Jeremy Scott Fitness

Everybody loves bread, sandwiches, toast, buns, muffins; the list goes on and on. Now most of us also know eating bread daily and in excess is probably not the best idea for our waist line and overall body composition.  I understand the people reading this don’t want to give up bread, cereal, and pasta for the rest of their lives, who really does?

So the question becomes, are all breads created equal? And the answer is simple, NO! Sprouted Grain breads and in this case Ezekiel 4:9 bread stands head and shoulders above the rest. Let me share with you the reasons I love it.

The facts about Ezekiel 4:9:

It is organic, flourless, complete protein sprouted grain bread.

The protein found in Ezekiel bread rivals the protein found in eggs and milk.

It contains all 9 essential amino acids, and 18 overall amino acids – crucial for building lean muscle.

Ezekiel 4:9 has increased vitamin content, generated from the sprouting process

Ezekiel 4:9 scores a 36 on the glycemic index scale and is 100% flour-less.

There are endless advantages to eating Ezekiel over your standard grocery store “enriched” flour breads.  The problem with your regular old flour breads is they contain primarily carbohydrates with very few minerals and vitamins. They also remove portions of bran and germ, which results in a loss of natural fiber and over 22 vitamins and minerals you are not getting. Now to compensate for this loss of nutrients, most bread companies will add back (folic acid, iron, niacin, thiamine, and riboflavin) even calcium at times, in turn enriching the flour.

At the end of the day most people are still going to go out and eat sandwiches, burgers, pastries, and pasta with enriched flour products. As I realize many restaurants are NOT offering the “Ezekiel Club Sandwich” just yet, but the challenge is to eat only Ezekiel in your own home.

Again eating bread every single day is not the best way to get “lean” in my opinion, but if you love bread and want to keep bread in your current diet I urge you to grab Ezekiel bread the next time you are out. The best places to find Ezekiel products are Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and in the frozen section of your local grocer. They not only make bread, but also tortillas, muffins, cereal, pitas, and pasta.

Once you go Ezekiel you’ll never go back!
