Member of the Month -Megan Polynin – Jeremy Scott Fitness

JSF SPOTLIGHT: Megan Polynin

Where are you originally from?

I grew up in fabulous Minnesota & moved to Arizona 11 years ago.

How long have you been coming to JSF?

My first class at JSF was in March 2011, so about a year and a half.

What was your fitness regimen prior to JSF and what made you choose/switch to JSF?

After my 2nd baby was born, it was really difficult for me to find time to exercise & I was having trouble losing the weight I had gained during my pregnancy.  I found a boot camp near my house & signed up for a 3-month membership to get back in the habit of exercising regularly.  Around the same time, my girl Kelly Groff found JSF & told me how awesome it was.  I went with her to a Saturday class & I loved it!  The rest is history.

What do you like best about JSF?

I love everything about JSF!

Short but intense workouts that push you to your limits.  Before you know it,  the workout is over & it’s time to go home.

Not having to think about what I’m going to do at the gym each day–I just show up, work hard & go home.

Burpees!  They may not have been my favorite from the beginning, but I’ve learned to love them.  Especially the one-legged kind.

The laid back & fun atmosphere–no pressure to compete with anyone else, just encouragement to do your personal best.

Amazing music–where else do you get to here Wu-Tang & Brittney all in one class?

And of course, the most amazing trainers in the valley!  Jeremy, Ben & Dave are straight-forward about what it takes to reach your fitness goals–eat clean & work hard.  That’s how they live & they’re always willing to help.  They will be the first ones to tell you it’s not easy…& they will be the first to call you out on your b.s. excuses.

What do you like to do in your free time?

One of my favorite things to do is take  a nap.  Exciting, I know, but I have a 2year-old & 4 year-old so I’m always exhausted.  I also like to spend time with my wonderful family & friends and I have fun participating in ridiculous events like Ragnar & Tough Mudder.  And of course I love to go to boot camp at JSF!

What’s your favorite cheat meal?

I love pizza & wine…mostly wine.

What is your advice for other members to get great results?

Show Up!  Not just physically, but mentally too.  You have to push yourself to get stronger.  The boot camps are set up for you to succeed & get in great shape, but you are the only one who can make it happen.
