Should You Eat Gluten Free? By Jeremy Scott

It’s trendy, it’s hip, and right now going gluten free seems sexy as hell for many people. But is it really for you?

Like anything I am going to kick it to you guys 100% real and let you decide if you really need to be gluten free for life!

If you don’t know – Gluten is a protein in wheat and some other grains, such as rye and barley.

Simple history gluten free diets are made to fight celiac disease which is a pretty nasty autoimmune disorder that damages the intestinal tract…. yeah not cool!

About 1% of the people you know have legit Celiac Disease so about 1 in 100 of your facebook friends suffer with this mess.

The “gluten-free” food industry is making a shit load of $$$ from people’s insecurity and desperation to feel better. Don’t fall victim to these processed bullshit products they are no better then the gluten packed ones…like I always say “EAT REAL FOOD!”

If you are thinking about joining the cool gluten free kids like myself here are the basic tips to get going…

1. Have a chat with your Dr. and see what they have to say about your issues and concerns.

2. Holler at a specialists, like an allergist for wheat, maybe even a gastroenterologist for celiac.

3. If nothing else getting a food allergy test would give you a better insight into what’s going on inside that body of yours.

4. If you do not have a wheat allergy or celiac disease, you might just have a high intolerance that mimics many of the same symptoms of a full blown allergy.

4. If this is the case where you are “gluten sensitive” maybe it’s time to cut out the gluten or eliminate it as much as possible.

Now that doesn’t mean you can’t eat grains ever again there are plenty of grains that are gluten free…. Such as brown rice, gluten-free oats, millet, wild rice, buckwheat, amaranth and quinoa.

In short without an allergy test or seeing a knowledgeable professional there is no sure why to know if you need to be 100% gluten free.

However, from personal experience and working with hundreds of clients looking to get sexy and healthy as well, I find when they cut out a majority of the grains from their diets and replace them with fresh organic veggies, lean proteins, and healthy fats they tend to feel better and look sexy as well over the course of time.

My humble opinion a majority of the grains we are eating these days are far different from the ones our parents eat, and our grandparents eat. There is so much processed shit out there many people have no idea what they are even putting into their bodies.

My advice before doing anything see a professional in fact see I suggest seeing a specialist to make sure you are on the right track.

I am just a dude who likes to train like his ass off, and eats organic fresh foods that just happen to be gluten free. The only side affect I have had since going gluten free is feeling sexy, shredded, strong, and the healthiest of my entire life.

Hope this helps you guys on this health and fitness journey!
