Low Carb Pizza Burgers
Do you love Pizza? Do you love burgers?
We combined the two for a kick ass high protein low carb option for dinner.
Here is what you need to get started:
2 lb. ground beef (grass fed is best) 90/10
- 4 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 c. chopped parsley
- Himalayan Pink Salt – to taste
- Freshly ground black pepper (I go heavy on this)
- 3 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 cup chopped onion (white)
- mozzarella cheese slices for tops
- giant pepperoni slices for tops
- 2 jars marinara –(low or no added sugar)
The Setup: Stove Top on med heat
Mix all ingredients above into large mixing bowl. Create between 5-8 patties based on burger size.
Coat Pan with olive oil spray as well as 2 tbsp. olive oil as well to prevent burgers from burning or sticking.
Brown each side of the burgers 2-4 minutes per side.
Turn stovetop to low/medium heat
Next dump in marinara into pan with burgers, let sit for 5 minutes then flip burgers let sit for another 5 minutes.
Next add mozzarella slices to tops of each burger, then place pepperoni on top as well.
Let set for 2-5 minutes or until cheese is slightly melted on burgers.
Next crush as many as possible of this high protein low carb meal.
